Broken Sword Lost Scenes Walkthrough

As George arrives at the hotel, he has nothing except a 10 $ bill with him. He enters the hotel and realizes immediatly Mr Fatman whose standing next to the entrance. Mr Fatman tells him that there's a hawk in his room and he can't reach his book because of that. George heard that Fatman can tell him where Nicole is, so he agrees to the deal.

Fatman advices him, that his room is the one in the middle. "Fetching a book shouldn't be that hard, should it?", George thinks while passing the second part of the entrance hall and walking up the stairs. Upstairs, George tries to open the middle room door, but it's locked. So he walks back downstairs to get the key from Fatman. Fatman interrupts him and tells him to get the book before George can ask him for the key. George remembers that there was a concierge in the second part of the entrance hall, but when he asks him for the key the concierge tells him that he's not allowed to give him the key. Angry George tries to steal the key, but the concierge sees him. "Now what?!", George thinks while walking through all the rooms he can enter in hope of finding something useful. And in fact he suddenly finds a pair of binoculars outside in front of the hotel. George asks himself if maybe somebody lost them and will be really grateful for him returning them. And indeed, the concierge lost his binoculars and as a return of favour George may take the key

George takes the key and goes upstairs and unlocks Fatman's door. He enters the room and must admit that Fatman didn't lie: There's a hawk flying around in the room. As George tries to take the book lying on the table, he gets a little scared of the hawk and decides to first get rid of him before taking the book. George searches all rooms and talks to everybody in the hotel until the concierge then offers him a frog for 10$. George gives him the 10$ and then tries to give the frog to the hawk, but he won't take it. Back downstairs updating the concierge about the new situation, the concierge makes him a new offer: a fish for 20$. "But how? I just spent my last money on that stupid frog", George thinks while (again) searching all rooms. Luckily, he finds a 20$ bill in the hotel room to the right of Fatman's room. George goes back to the concierge and buys the fish. While giving the fish to the hawk, he hopes the hawk will like the fish and vanish. And he's again lucky: the hawk grabs the fish and flies out of the window. George just now discovers that the hawk wasn't just a hawk, but a sea hawk and it's clear that they prefer fish.

George grabs the book and brings it to Fatman. First Fatman just takes the book without keeping his part of the deal, but after George reminding him Fatman's tells him that Nicole left for an island called Monkey Island™ and that's all he knows. George steps outside of the hotel to begin his journey to Monkey Island™...
